Lonely Planet says, Wellington is coolest little capital in the world. In fact, Wellington is rather cool – expect about five degrees centrigrade less than in Auckland.
And despite it is a capital, a small one indeed, there is really not much to see. Except of plenty of shops. So bring some extra money to heat you up.
Okay, okay. They also have a historic red cable car, which is pretty nice. You see it on the picture to the left, arriving at the upper platform. It takes you also back down – virtually into the shops.
