You may already know, Chile is a very long and narrow country on the western side of South America. It streches over a distance of 4300km from north to south, which allows to have all four seasons at one time in the same country. The capital is Santiago de Chile, quite somewhere in the middle of it.
When I visited Santiago I was very impressed of it’s cultural scene. The city seems to be quite wealthy, what in general allows greater spendings on culturual institutions. In this post I will mention three exhibitions, which are definitly worth a visit: The Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, the Centro Cultural Palacio de la Moneda, and eventually the Museo de la Memoria y los Derechos Humanos, a museum of human rights with focus on the Pinochet era.
However, even if you don’t want to see the exhibitions, there is still a lot to see in the city. This post here is a good starting point.
