Buenos Aires is, along with Mexico City and São Paulo, one of the three Latin American cities considered an Alpha City. It is often said to be like the Paris of South America, with 3 million people living in the city. In 2005 it was appointed the first UNESCO City of Design. Dont’t forget, it is also the birthplace of the current Pope Francis.
The most famous building in the city is obviouly “La Casa Rosada“, the pink government house. It is featured in this post beside of the legendary cemetery in Recoleta, the Campo Argentino de Polo in Palermo (unfortunately I missed the races on that day), the people around Plaza de la República, among many other fascinating places in Buenos Aires.
