In 2008 China were holding the Olympic Games. To present the country best, the chinese were in need for a lot of new buildings, including the complete olympic park in Beijing. The center of this village is the new stadium called “The Nest”, which was built with western help and is actually an impressing construction. I visited Beijing a while after the games, and had the big chance to see the stadium from inside. Despite the strong tourist’s demand for visiting the stadium, straight after the games it was only allowed organized groups to enter the holy place. Finally the rules were softened, but not without forgetting to eye the guests…
