Sao Paulo is the largest city in South America, but is not a typical tourist magnet. It has no beaches, it has not old city, it even has no real city center. It is more or less a city to do business, not vacation. However, the city has enough to offer to stay there for two or three days for vacation. One reason is the execellent cultural spots and museums. The Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo is one of those located in the district Luz
